Turning Powerful Stories into Lasting Impact.

Wocstar Media is a storytelling and media production initiative under Wocstar Capital, dedicated to amplifying diverse voices and narratives that drive social impact. Through the Wocstar Media Foundation, it empowers artists and entrepreneurs to create stories that inspire and foster positive change, particularly in finance, entrepreneurship, media, and entertainment. Notably, Wocstar Media has supported Broadway productions like “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf,” which received seven Tony® Award nominations in 2022, and “Thoughts of a Colored Man”.

The organization offers various programs, including the Wocstar Media Fellows, which supports creators like Nicki Micheaux and the late Dr. Ron Simons, both recognized for their impactful storytelling. Additionally, Wocstar Media hosts the "Lunch n' Learn" webinar series to explore challenges and growth areas for diverse artists and storytellers .

VC’s Off the Record is Wocstar Media’s flagship podcast—a behind-the-scenes look at the real conversations shaping capital, culture, and creativity. Hosted by Wocstar Capital leaders and special guests, the show dives into the untold stories of venture, media, and entrepreneurship from the perspective of those often left out of the mainstream narrative.

Each episode explores what it really takes to build, invest, and thrive as a creator or founder of color. From hard-won lessons to candid takes on power, access, and ownership, VC’s Off the Record delivers the kind of insights you won’t hear anywhere else. Available wherever you get your podcasts.
